I have a very small business as a freelancer and I can't afford the business rate that Time Warner offers.
As a video editor and a sometimes motion graphic artist I don't make big bucks. Some do, but not me. I wish I did but I still wouldn't want to pay the rate they want to charge businesses for the same service.
I need to upload video for client approval and the upload speeds are never as good as the down load speeds.
I started using Cable Modem as soon as it was available in my area.
I was lucky, that was in 1998. I'm very used to having access.
But I wish I had more. I pay for the middle tier plan called standard which limits speed not quantity. When I first signed up everyone had
the same access.
It seems that now that they have data on our use they are going to cut off the water to the ranch to see how much they can bleed us dry.
Just like the water wars in the old west. But, for me the internet feels like water. It feeds my curiosity. It helps me stay aware and in touch.
But, for those who don't do as much as I do on line, I understand.
So, let them by a limited plan for less, MUCH LESS. And don't up my
price for unlimited. Cause that's what they want to do. I can feel it.
The internet literally saved my life. It gave me outlets to people I'd never met, allowed me to learn things I had no access too at the public library. It gave me a new career when the one I had was killing me.
It allows me to learn knew things every day.
